What happens when you think of a great Indian wedding?
Fascinating lights, bright outfits, bollywood hits, stylish expansion of food and soaked in celebrations. Everything feels strange, emotional and greater than life.
Now imagine that all without a bride. It’s not Ferasi (a ritual wedding ritual where couples take seven rounds around a sacred fire), no relatives, no tears. Just party.
Welcome to the world of fake weddings. People enjoy the wedding party, it is an uplifting trend in Indian cities that removes.
These events organized by hotels, clubs and companies, are designed for fun and will offer a full experience of a wedding party without stress, rituals or responsibility. It’s just a night themed party party.
In recent weeks, fake weddings have made a splash in large cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Attendees are usually young people who want to enjoy young people at night, without pressure involved in the fun of Drama and Indian marriage.
Last week, we took part in a curatorial event at Delhi – a fake SANGEET (SANGEET is a night of music and usually a few days before marriage).
At the event, when it was made in a plush club, the atmosphere was electric: women showed men and the former (long skirts and blouses), men and ethnic jackets. A traditional Dhol’s traditional battery carried the crowd to the dancing floor and turned a well-known gulf of Tequila.
The Shivangi networks, which first went to an event like this, found “amazing”.
“In family weddings, there is so much pressure – the rules of dressing, judgment (from relatives). But it’s funny,” he said. “Especially because we have to do everything with our friends. We decided on our garments the day before and we prepared together.”
Ticket prices usually start about 1,500 rupees ($ 17; 13 £) and 15,000 rupees, depending on the hall and facilities. Shivangi and his friends paid 10,000 rupees for each pair.
“I don’t mind passing once a month. He was absolutely worth the whole experience.”
Sharad Madan, the owner of a restaurant organized the event, says the novelty is the underscore trends that are essential in the hospitality sector.
“We need to keep doing something new for our guards,” he said.
To plan and organize about a million rupees, Madan said, Madan said, and the team expected to duplicate through card sales. But the profits are not only, he says.
“It’s about commitment. If you don’t give me the same type of refund, I would still do it because our guards want something different.”
Kaushal Chanani, in the last month, 2,000 people from Bengaluru participated in a 8.Club party.
“People in the diaspora gathered and danced in Bollywood music, dressed in ethnic outfits and enjoyed the evening,” he said. “This is the idea we have also followed.”
The response to the Bengaluru event was held at a five star hotel, which was “absolute”. He encouraged them to plan a similar event in Delhi – and that was sold, and began to receive inquiries from events in other cities like Jaipur, Kolkata and Lucknow.
“Today, we give people interested in our standard operating procedure (SOP),” he said. “It is marketed and profitable to create, marketing.”
However, not all fake weddings follow the same script.
The third place, the starting point of experience, recently took an excessive sGeet In Bengaluru – no alcohol, to celebrate sex.
“We split the attendees in grooms and bride groups and arranged games like Canada and guess a relative stereotype,” CEO Anurag Pandes said.
There were condolences, great guests for all guests as well as astrological themes games. Alcohol was deliberately left.
“Sometimes Booz removes from experience,” Pandey said. “We wanted to do more than a pub night or a regular taking. We wanted to show the spirit of marriages in India.”
The comments say that the fame of these events reflects the reasons for the growing desire to grow young.
“People need a certain hook … a chance to celebrate. And it’s not a wedding better know better.
“It’s the pinnacle of enjoyment, especially when it comes to stress free with real weddings.”
It also emphasizes that these events have been given a reason to reschedule expensive wedding clothes purchased in the past.
So are such events here?
The event planner is the founder of Vijay Aura, Delhi-based Touchwood events, fake marriages are now some fashion, but with potential.
“Gen Z Doubtless wants to be part of such celebrations,” he said.
“If it emerges as a new market category, it can be an important game changer that will increase the scale as well as enduring business opportunities for the whole industry.”

While the sector is growing, there are limits. Most weddings occur in cooler months.
With the letters free with letters, sellers follow the constant experiences, if false marriages are maintained if the trends could be steps to fill the gap.
Mr. Arora was impressed by the rise of fake weddings.
“But it also helps to understand that events are something we want to celebrate or be part of it. We can’t go to our friends or family hospitality, we still want to join fake.”
However, not all guests are excited.
Srishti Sharma, 23-year-old Bengalur-based professional marketing, said the only fake marriage attended.
“I’ve lived a few years earlier from home and I really missed going to a wedding,” he said.
“Most didn’t have a nagging relative” that you are in line to get married. “
Mrs. Sharma and his friends spent hours gathering costumes, but the event was shortened.
“They started with EDM and began to Bollywood only after two hours,” he said.
“We expected a wedding food, but we got pizza and chips. It’s not dessert, just alcohol. The decoration was basic and lazy.”
Some criticize events, saying, saying that they could be found as trivializers among traditional events and values of India.
But Vidhi Kapoor, Delhi, in Disagrees, took part in Disagrees Vidi Kapoor.
“It has been attacked by people to dress like a bride or boyfriend, but here’s just a party, we should take at high spirits,” he said.
