Full Jets interview with Bills assistant GM Brian Gaine


The Jets have completed an interview with Brian Gaine for the general manager position, the team announced Tuesday night.

Gain, in his second stint in Buffalo, currently serves as the Bills’ assistant general manager. He returned to Buffalo in 2019 as chief personnel advisor, a position he held for three seasons before the promotion.

Gaine has general manager experience, having held the position with the Texans in 2018-19.

Gaine began his scouting career with the Jets from 1999-2004 before moving to the Cowboys as assistant director of pro scouting from 2005-2007. He also held the positions of assistant director of player personnel (2008-10), director of player personnel (2011) and assistant general manager (2012- 13) With the Dolphins.

The Jets have also interviewed or requested an interview with assistant GM Mike Borgonzi, Bengals chief of staff Trey Brown, former Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff, Rams senior personnel director Ray Farmer, Buccaneers assistant GM Mike Greenberg, former Colts GM Ryan Grigson, Eagles assistant general manager Alec Halaby, Broncos assistant general manager Darren Moje, Senior Bowl executive Jim Nagy, assistant general manager Lance Newmark, ESPN analyst Louis Riddick, and director former Titans general John Robinson, special assistant to the president, CEO and chairman of the board Chris Spielman, and Packers vice president of player personnel John Eric Sullivan.
