Jin Schroeder, the first round draft in the first round in 1951, who played for the team for seven seasons, died at the age of 95.
Schroeder’s daughter, Carole Schroeder, confirmed the death of her father.
“He was just someone who really loved his family, loved his life, I love his careerCarole Schroeder told “Carroll Schroeder” Chicago Sun Times. “He was really estimated all the time we went through.”
The Bearss Schrocess was chosen with the twelfth total choice of the 1951 US Football Association’s draft, and the team led the team with 461 yards as a rise while playing safety as well. He had a better season in 1952, but he missed the entire 1953 season and part of 1954 to serve in the navy, and he suffered a injury during his service that affected him for the rest of his career.
Schroeder said he always appreciates George Hallas, a coach and owner of Beers, for the way he was dealing with his military service. Schroeder said that when he left the navy bears, Hallas gave him a value of $ 2500 and a new set of tires for his car, and that Hallas kept him in the team and paid him additional after his injury. Hallas also helped Schroeder get a job outside the season that paid the salary of bears.
“Coach Hallas was great to play for him and never raised his voice,” Schroeder said. “It was like a father for me.”
Schroeder survived three daughters, four grandchildren, and five grandchildren and his brother.
