Ducati will team up with Troy Lee Designs to debut a new 2026 SuperMotocross League dirt bike, the Desmo450 MX.
The announcement was made and the prototype bike was unveiled in the paddock at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California during Press Day prior to Round 1 of the Monster Energy Supercross Series. This is the first public appearance of a dirt bike in the United States by the motorcycle brand that has been so successful in the MotoGP Series. Ducati won all but one MotoGP race in 2024 with Jorge Martin. It was Ducati’s sixth constructors’ championship.
The first motocross bikes will arrive in North America starting in July 2025.
Helping us enter SuperMotocross, Ducati and Troy Lee Designs will tour the bike through eight rounds of Supercross, as well as the MotoGP race at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, with graphics specially designed by Troy Lee.
“We are thrilled to partner with Ducati, one of the most iconic brands in motorcycling,” Troy Lee, founder of Troy Lee Designs, said in a news release. “Racing is the foundation of our brand and allows us to develop our products at the highest level of safety performance. I look forward to making history with this partnership.”
North American Ducati representatives will be present at each stop on this tour, including Anaheim 1 and 2, San Diego, Tampa, Arlington, East Rutherford, Pittsburgh and the season finale in Salt Lake City.
