Driving better than ever, better than anyone, Bryson Dechambeau Primed for PGA battle

Charlotte, NC – is unclear that the drive on Friday encouraged the look of a stunning.

Maybe it was 357 yards on the left side of the third hole that left his colleague by playing competitors – none of whom are not short Hitters – in the dust, some 40 meters back.

Or maybe it was a shot from the month of 359 yards that flew over the edge of the buncher bunker 16 and settled down, oh, a few inches from the central railway.

But at some point during the second round of the PGA championship, Caddy Brennan Little – which is in the 1999 bags and DJ and everyone else – a notebook, Greg Bodine: “I didn’t see him running as he drives him.”

And here’s the thing: there was little no one in his assessment.

“Legitimately, in my opinion, he is the best driver I’ve ever seen,” said the swing coach of Dahlquist. “He controls the launch, spin, curve, distance. It’s all good”

It’s not very revolutionary, of course.

Dechambeau was one of the biggest bobbols of the game from his body transformation five or six years ago which of the 4 years were launched in Parch-I-Cants. But as much as he appeared, he was never very dominant as this. Not when the bomb and pierced the way to us open on the winged foot. Not when the villas of the shots across the waste area in Pinehurst hit last summer.

This is Bryson here, quite literally, in full flight.

Dechambeau is five shots on this PGA championship, but he is ready as if no other closes the gap. He leads the field in total driving distance, and its advantage in that department is expected to increase as temperatures approach 90 degrees, and the case-rained showcases are still growing.

It was not flawless first two days in Prepeal cavity. Dechambeau missed too much greenery in opening and made three Bogea. Some of his bold lines over high trees or long bunkers took a bad bounced in rough, forcing it to take over conservative lines to the greenery. He admitted that his kling game should be cleaned; Despite a significantly smaller club in greenery, he is out of the top 90 near the hole. But he is still there, right outside the top 10, and with only Scottie Scheffler before him fear.

“It was a weird day today, a lot like yesterday,” Dechambea said. “I felt like playing well. I just didn’t get anything out of it.”

And yet he and his team feel good, really good, about what can be held about.

In the past few months, Dechambea continued to reside his equipment, the most significant change that came two years ago when he moved to the Driver’s head Krank who gave him stronger dispersion on hits outside the center. Smaller settings continue to lead to larger winnings.

“He was always a phenomenal player, and he was doing well, but once he got the driver’s face and he knew he was still in play,” he said still in the game, “he said still in the game. “He just had a mistake for the other guys, where he always felt like he had a smoke on her face. Now, even a little of your legs or heels, he can still go where he can still go where he can still go where he looks.”

In the Liv Circle this year, Dechambeau gets almost two shots per round on the field with Tee – far The best of any player in the world. It’s not a perfect comparison, because it’s the same field every week, not so strong, from top to bottom, like a PGA Tour, but for the perspective, it’s almost a half Better ride from the peak Rory McIlroy. Through seven events of LIV, DECHAMBEAU leads in the distance and is classified with the seventh in accuracy, hitting 66% of the fair. So it is longer than all and more precise as players like Sepp Strac or Russell Henley, who are known for the precise precise. It’s a stunning combinations.

“The last month or two were just a little better than normal,” Bodine said. “He took a step up.”

Dechambeau’s marathon practice always make for forcing a TV view while turning off the range, but Dahlquist said that their momentum is actually quite simple and specific.

“The big thing for him is to ensure that he still tries to turn left, trying to pull out his pressure to be right and rocked the right,” he said. “That’s pretty linear at this point. It was so for a while.”

If there is something that is cut off, go to the tear, it was his approach. Even from the most favorable positions, it can become indecisive because its unique minds for golf takes into account all variables. He was almost the last in the field with his iron, like, said Dahlquist, continued to find out different slopes and lies in Augusta National. Here at the PGA was not so sharp, as he would love, as it adapts to change the course conditions and how it affects its turning rates.

“Standard deviation from straight lies, he is the best in the world,” Dahlquist said, “because he just hits the same shot every time.”

But it is the next limit, because it is already the best in one area – an area that, by the end of the weekend, it should become the most significant. On each type-out Tee box in Prepeal hollow, deep breath, suffocating his tee into the damp lawn, and the longest and fastest drives of anyone at this level.

“The child is good in golf,” Dahlquist said with a smile.

And only gets better.
