Donald Trump imposes 10% tariffs on China from February

US President Donald Trump has said he is considering imposing a 10% tariff on imports of products made in China as soon as February 1.

Trump said discussions with his administration are “shipping Fentanyl to Mexico and Canada.”

Trump followed through on threats to impose 25% import duties on Mexico and Canada, accused of allowing undocumented migrants and drugs into the US.

In his first term in office, the new president also ordered federal agencies to conduct a review of existing trade agreements and identify unfair practices by US trading partners.
