Despite two water balls, the colonial winner Ben Griffin in front of the monument

Dublin, Ohio – Ben Griffin continued to a large show that led his first victory of the PGA tour him, hitting two shots in the water and still publishes 7-minutes in the monument at the Mentor with Rough as open.

Griffin doesn’t take victory after winning colonial. He just continued to create birds, along with an eagle on a couple-5 seventh 3-wood hole at 12 feet. He led two shots over Collin Morikawa, and Max Homa is another move behind.

Defran Champion Scottie Scheffler was not at best and still managed 70, his 19. A consecutive tournament in which he opened with a round couple.

Griffin played so well that his two water balls were – at par-5 11. and par-3 12. – Just led to Bogeas when such mistakes were the coodies of so many other players.

“Yes, a couple of water balls – really need to go to the range and work on my game to clean up that stuff,” Griffin said with laughter.

He knew it was good. The village of Muirfield was sufficiently soft from the rain in the last two days that good results came from the sidewalk, not from rough that Justin Thomas said that it is comparable to what will open in the US.

“Basically we openly, we play,” Keegan Bradley said. “I’m going to play back. I’ll open up here. But the course is very fair, it is set nice. Just a hard test.”

The numbers come out, whether it was just 13 players who broke a pair of gentle wind, or eight players who made Triple Godes on seven holes in the village of Muirfield.

Griffin set up the pace early by leaving in 31 and then ran into several problems with water. He tried to get to Green 11., he came short and in water, and missed 10 feet. 12. 12. Teeni gain bounced down the slope into the water. He saved Bogee from the 6-foot path.

But what is the target – a 15-foot bird on a PAR-3 16th, a 12-feet bird at 17. and holing from just over 50 feet towards the ridge 18. for the third flat birds.

“It was an amazing day,” Griffin said. “The type of building on what I did last week, making a ton of birds, staying aggressive. This is one of the most difficult golf courses we play on tour and you have to make birds and give yourself a lot of looking.”

Shane Lowry played next to Griffin and had 69, one of just six players who will break 70. It may not feel so good as Griffin played.

“I told him when we finish,” Keep on, things will turn to you soon, “Lowry said with a smile.” He looked pretty much that he looked at. It was good. We bounced each other, we all played really nice.

“My 3 below doesn’t look so bright next to his 7 below, but 3 below is a good result there in this course,” he said. “It’s pretty hard.”

Homa Inters Hairses that Furni Soging game that has allowed him to reach 10 in the world when he played memorial last year. Now he is no. 87 and facial with a long week – a difficult test in the village of Muirfield, and then 36 holes from us opens qualified on Monday.

“I told my coach last night, this was the best that my swing felt in a really long time. Then the whole game she felt like that,” Homa said. “I shouldn’t have shot a low number to confirm it, but it just feels nice.”

Nick Taylor had one of the 10 double gods – two other made triple Bogee – at par-3 12, but Canadian gathered with two birds on the last three holes for 69.

Scheffler won the PGA Championship and tried to rest as he could in front of the colonial, where he was still tied up in the neighborhood. He worked a little more in the days moving in memory and spent too much time in the rough and fight for pieces.

He works well, throwing only two shots despite the beating six of the 14 float paths and twice not convert birds to chance to a couple 5s on her back nine.

The last time he finished a couple. It was American open for launching the tournament last year.

“I felt like I hit pretty good. If I want to continue, I will have to be a little sharper in the next few days,” Scheffler said. “But overall, a good job that publishes a grade. Yes, 2 below this place any day is pretty good.”

There is no need to say that to Thomas (80) or Daniel Berger (81). And then Adam Scott was, who was 7 for his circle through six holes. He played even the rest of the way for 79.
