Denny Hamlin is back to the villain, which provokes the crowd of Michigan after the win

Brooklyn, Mich. – Denny Hamlin The antagonist is back.

He brought his famous line out of the pension to obtain the crowd after winning Sunday’s cup race at Michigan International Speedway and rejoicing in an Ohio State to encourage fans of the University of Michigan at the Tribune.

“I thrive on it,” Hamlin said he was considered the villain, “just because you feel like you have 60,000 people shooting at your root. If you have it, it just feels really good and gratifying to prove them wrong. ‘

A week before Father’s Day, Hamlin avoided his father’s wishes and told the crowd after winning the third time this season and the 57th time in his cup career: “Daddy, I’m sorry, but I beat your favorite driver of the driver.”

Many in the crowd bent.

The Joe Gibbs Racing Star took the lead of William Byron on lap 197 of 200.

It was a repetition of the line he expressed for the first time after winning the Bristol Night race in September 2023. He said again the line after winning the collision in the Coliseum in February 2024 and then stopping.

Hamlin then said on his podcast that his father sent him a text message to stop saying the line. His father said he didn’t like it and thought it was too handy. Hamlin said on his podcast: “I’m going to listen to Dad about this one.”

Oops.

“I thought about saying that a few other times,” Hamlin said on Sunday night. “… in this one boy knows best.”

Just to add another layer of antagonism, Hamlin did a part of the Ohio -cheers for the Michigan medium Ohio State in front of the crowd and earned further anger of some.

Hamlin attended the College Football National Championship match in January that Ohio State won Notre Dame. While he had no previous wedding, his friends were Ohio State fans and supported the Buckeyes.

Hamlin thrives on chaos. His fiancé will deliver the couple’s third child every day, an appellant panel has decided against his team and front row of motorsport last week and both have the prospect of losing their charges and being open teams as soon as the end of the month.

So, of course, Hamlin won on Sunday. And of course he stirred it up with the crowd other than in his victories earlier this year in Darlington and Martinsville.

A recent decision by a federal appellant panel could result in 23xi racing becoming an open team within the next few weeks.

While he is regularly greeted with some of the biggest chorus of evil during the manager of the manager, his actions are likely to strengthen it on Sunday.

He goes well with it.

“Until the crowd moves over to mostly rejoicing about evil, I’m always going to antagonize the booers,” Hamlin said. “What’s there still, until you really get the switch, what I don’t think I’m ever going in my career?

‘… I had to find ways to enjoy it. It’s such a grind and it’s so hard to win. I won myself a few years ago and I just went over on Monday and it was on the next track. I never really had to spend it celebrating. I took it for granted that I would only win next week, I will win the week after. I just have another one is always going to come.

‘You have another birthday (to turn 45 in November in November). You wonder if you can keep doing this at this level? Listen, 57 (cup victories) maybe it is. None of us in this room knows. I will at least enjoy it as if it is my last, then I will go to work on Monday, just as I always have.

“I don’t want to be so ho-hum to win that it’s boring, because then I lose my ride.”

Or the evil.
