Dennis Quaid’s fire evacuation interview sparks backlash

As Dennis rushed to load his car, the reporter asked if they could have a quick chat. “I’ll walk with you if that’s okay,” he began. “Tell me, what exactly is going on here?”

Dennis stopped and explained that he was evacuating after conditions near his home deteriorated. “On Wednesday, (the smoke) reached within 150 yards of the house,” he added. “I dropped my wife and kids off at the hotel and back just in case (making sure I) cut off the gas and all that stuff you don’t think about.”

Dennis spoke to the reporter for a few more minutes before returning to load his car. Only, the reporter continued to chat with Dennis, even making jokes when Dennis unsuccessfully tried to stuff things into his car.
