When the commanders, NFL and DC mayor Muriel Bowder scored a new stadium, sold as a finished job.

The deal is far from completion.

Over Washington TimesThe DC Council plans to have Public hearings 29. July and 30. July. This means that the Council will not vote on the proposal before the 15th. July articulated by the team and Bowser.

Tim, Po TimeHe said this week that “any delay – even a few weeks to vote the Council – could jeopardize the planned opening date of 2030.”

Regardless, the Council intends to do its deep discussion. Rushing them won’t make it happen.

Bowser is still in a hurry. Over Washington PostBowser increased pressure on the members of the Council. It is worried that if the approval does not come quickly, the stadium will be built elsewhere.

Other possibilities are Maryland and Virginia. And the door seems to be open to both of them.
