David White promised to return the player’s trust in NFLPA

The NFL player association was engaged by David White to serve as a temporary executive director. The choice is controversial on his face, because he was a second finalist for a process that resulted in the catastrophic via Lloyd Howell, two years ago.

White is now at work and sent a letter to all players on Wednesday.

Here is a complete text.

Dear Players,

I want to thank you for confiding to me by helping we lead and lead your union during this critical time. I’ll visit you in person throughout the season and look forward to hearing from you directly. This is the first of many communications in which I will draw your priorities, challenges and successes, if you inform you about what your union works on your behalf.

I spent my career cooperate with organizations that serve and protect work experts, leading them through complex challenges. The mission of this Sania is simple: to protect and empower you. To do this efficiently, we must be united with clear priorities, transparent communication and consistent actions that show our understanding of what you need and want.

So let me outline what I see as the three most unexcellular priorities that are ahead of us Association of NFL players:

1. Restoring the trust of the player to your own union

Recent events have damaged trust between many of you and these organizations. This trust is not something we have right – we must earn through consistent action. You deserve a union that works professionally, communicates clearly and makes decisions that first place your interests. Reconstruction that self-confidence is my top priority, and that will be measured not what we say, but so as we perform.

2. Learning the time observation challenges facing this organization.

There are several immediate challenges that currently require directional leadership. I will work with our legal team and other departments for solving these challenges and ensure that members or unions do not bring additional harm.

3. Setting the foundation for success under constant leadership

I will work closely with your selected leadership to ensure that there is a fundamental and efficient process for choosing your permanent leader. They will lead the search towards the process that determine the best serving the interests of the Member. This permanent leader should be someone who showed competence and integrity necessary to improve your interests effectively. My goal is to see that this person inherits an organization that is stable, focused and has the strongest foundation possible for the upcoming negotiations on CBA.

The previous generation of players have built this organization because the individual talent means nothing without collective power. Your profession teaches you this everyday. Any benefit you have today, because players before you stopped together and demanding fair treatment. That heritage creates both the opportunity and responsibility.

For the next few months, they will meet with you in person to hear your thoughts and experiences and learn what you expect from the professional leadership of your union. Please know that my line is always open to me.

Challenges faced with professional football players today require the same strategic thinking and collective wisdom that has built past successes of this union. Fulfilling these challenges is an effective job we are now starting.

In solidarity and look forward to,

David

White is assumed as a potential candidate for the permanent executive director. After all, he wanted a job two years ago.

Whether it can be positioned for that position moving forward, both of the work and, honestly, can internal political angles in a way that persuades to persuade the players leadership to hire him.

Through all this should be given to key members of the player leadership what they want. First, he needs to figure out what it is. Second, it should create an impression that does it.

The biggest question is whether the Union continues to operate with extreme secret or true transparency. The problem, if some want to be quiet, whether transparency with players guarantees transparency with the media.

Still, the sunlight is always good. Current problems are directly too much nonsense from pure and dagger, not almost enough truth and sincerity. The white best game will find a way to find themselves on the placement of those who respond directly, and at the same time create a culture that is far less mysterious and dysfunctional than it was.
