Daniel Suarez Faces Challenge in Mexico with some team members on delayed flights

Mexico City – Prior to the biggest race of Daniel Suarez’s Counting career, he will have only five crew members working on his car during today’s two training sessions due to travel problems that some of the aircraft are Checking Nascar.

The crew head, Matt Swiderski, told NBC Sports that the no. 99 team only has him, the team chief of the team, inside specialist, engine and tire specialist for today’s sessions. There are 20 people on the crew for Suarez’s team.

This weekend is the first cup points at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Suarez talked about how much it meant to have a cup of point in his native country. He will be the only Mexican driver in the cup race.

Suarez is without team members today because two of the flights that Nascar Chartered have to take Cup and XFinity teams to Mexico City on Thursday. One had an engine problem at takeoff. Swiderski said he was on that flight.

Swiderski said when a replacement aircraft arrived, the crew could not continue because they would exceed their hours.

Two aircraft, which carried the Nascar Cup and XFinity Manager and team members, are based in Charlotte on Friday.

Swiderski said the team was back to the store and started prioritizing who they needed on the track. Trackhouse Racing got 14 crew members on a private aircraft. The engineers were among those who were left behind. They will only arrive on Saturday, so they can be at the store when cup exercise takes place today. Swiderski said they would borrow scoffers from XFinity teams to help with the workout.

This is the debut of Nascar’s leading circle on the Autodromos Hermanos Rodriguez.

Swiderski said he got about 90 minutes of sleep before returning to the airport for a flight left by Charlotte, North Carolina, at 5am.

Swiderski noted that with only five people it would be difficult to make changes through practice, as quickly as they would normally do.

“The velocity you can make is a performance -profit … to make another run, we’ll be a little slower to just be a few guys,” he said.
