Dan Campbell: If we had brought our B game, we would have had a chance to win

Officially, the Commanders beat the Lions on Saturday night. Unofficially, the Lions believe they have beaten themselves.

“Credit Washington, they did what they had to do and they played a good game, but a little bit for us, when you feel like, ‘You’ve got to bring your A game,’ I think if we bring our B game, we have a chance to win that game, ” Campbell told reporters Monday. “And we didn’t bring it.”

It’s unclear what grade Campbell would give his team for Saturday night. But apparently it was slightly less than B.

The lions outmatched the commanders. But five turnovers by the Lions became the death knell and/or grounds for a Bart Simpson-esque F-minus.

It is not known whether the commanders will perceive that remark as mild. The Commanders and Lions are known to play in the 2025 regular season.
