Cup results, points to Charlotte Motor Speedway, as Ross Chastain earns the first Coke 600 win

Ross Chastain became the eighth winner to close play -off matches in the 2025 Nascar Cup series, Catch a win in the Coca-Cola 600 on Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The Trackhouse Racing Manager has an 18-race winning streak in the no. 1 Chevrolet ended with his sixth career victory in his 236th start. He also won for the first time in his eighth at the 1.5 mile Oval in Concord, AD (where his previous best end point was eighth).

Chastain started last after crossing in practice, Ane led twice for eight of 400 rounds (including the last six). Per Racing Insights he was the first cup manager to win in a backup car since William Byron in the 2024 Daytona 500.

Byron, who led a 283 of 400 rounds and won the first three phases, finished second on Charlotte after losing the lead to Chastain by six rounds left.

The winning pass comes with five laps transferred in Nascar’s longest race.

Chase Briscoe finished a third third. AJ All Conciles took fourth place for his first top five final since October 2023. Brad Keselowski was fifth for his first top 10 this season.

Chase Elliott, Michael McDowell, Christopher Bell, Ryan Preece and Noah Gragson rounded off the top -10.

In the ranking of the regular season, Byron moved in with 29 points over Kyle Larson, who finished 37th after an accident.
