Anyone hoping to see a lot of points scored in Detroit on Saturday night loves a game between the Commanders and the Lions.
The Lions took the lead on Jared Goff’s pass to Sam LaPorte with 7:44 to play in the first half, but it took just over a minute for the Commanders to take the lead again.
A screen pass to Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin turned into a 58-yard touchdown when the wild-out got two blocks and broke the catch to win the race to the end zone. It was the first touchdown pass of Jayden Daniels’ NFL career, and it looks like he’ll be adding to that sooner rather than later.
McLaurin has three catches for 75 yards, and the Chiefs are showing they’re willing to trade lawnmowers with the top seeds in the NFC.
