Brian Shuttenheimer: Mika Parsons negotiations are “Diced Street”

When it comes to formulating and developing players, cowboy does a great job. When it comes to giving their local stars new deals in time, they do not do it.

Cowboys assembled hands in a free agency a year ago, with points of new contracts for the future of Cede Lamb and Dak Prescott in Qurtubbere. This year, while midfielder Mika Parsons is waiting for the second late deal (frankly), will the property again use all the brakes, without the gas approach?

I think they understand thatOn Thursday, Shuttenheimer said on whether the front office understood the delay effect, via Yahoo SPORTS. “Look, the American Football Association’s work has become very large and again, it is a two -way street. There are negotiations and sometimes those negotiations take time, (so) it is our duty to focus on the players there.”

They have no time. When there is an atmosphere of mutual confidence and respect, the two sides can agree on the final deadline and the completion of the deal. When it is not, the process is delayed until the real final dates (Lamb and Prescott, the beginning of the normal season).

If the cowboy is serious about expanding the Parsons contract, in turn, creating the maximum area that can be used early on the free agency, the deadline will soon be – and the deal will be made before that.

It is not as if Parsons will not get a second contract, unless the cowboy is considering trading, perhaps the best defensive player in the entire league. And never become cheaper. So why do you not accomplish this at a time that leads to other actions?

There are not many interpretations to wait. Either the property does not understand how it works (and if a fool like me understands that, there is no reason they should not) or the property knows how things work and want to be delayed intentionally.

The consequences of waiting are clear. Parsons (and must do) can do what Lampe did in 2024, and stay away from everything until he gets their salaries. This means that Parsons will not be ready for the first week as possible. COWBOYS will not reduce the maximum number of $ 2025 for the year 2025 to sign new players in the position of need.

There is no benefit, in addition to keeping the money in their treasures for another several months.

“We will always start with our youth,” said Shottheimer’s. “We know them, right? We have a history with them. We have developed these men. We understand their strengths, their weaknesses, and what they bring to the table from the point of view of culture. So again, all this depends on how things go. It’s a very competitive work. It’s a very competitive time of the year.”

It is difficult to compete in this “very competitive time of the year” when ownership is awaiting to put the finishing touches on the contracts that will be done later.

Although this specific change will not immediately push COWBOYS to the NFC for the first time in 30 years, the stubborn refusal to accelerate the process of many main players is one of the different factors that contribute to the longest drought game in the conference – by 15 years.
