Braden Fisk is expected to undergo knee surgery and is expected to be fine for the 2025 season

Rams defensive lineman Braden Fisk suffered a knee injury during last Sunday’s loss to the Eagles and will need some time to recover from it this season.

Head coach Sean McVay said Thursday, via multiple reporters, that Fisk will need to have surgery on his knee to repair the injury. His recovery from this procedure is not expected to affect his readiness for the 2025 season.

Fisk had a tackle and a sack against the Eagles to cap off an impressive rookie season. The second-round pick had 44 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries for the NFC West champions.

That effort led to Fisk being named a finalist for Defensive Rookie of the Year on Thursday. First-round pick Jared Fiers is also a finalist for the award and gives the duo reason to be optimistic about returning to the postseason in 2025.
