Benavidez is predicted to beat Bivol Beterbiev in a rematch

David Benavidez insists former WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitri Bivol must win his fight against IBF/WBC/WBO champion Artur Beterbiev on October 12 in Riyadh.

Bivol dominance

WBC ‘interim’ 175-lb champion Benavidez Bivol (23-1, 12 KOs) dominated most of the fight by throwing the better combinations. He feels that Bivol, 34, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,z dibi,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, in their rematch against undisputed champion Beterbiev (21-0, 20 KOs) on February 22 in Riyadh. Their fight will be shown live on DAZN PPV.

Some believe that the reason Benavidez chose Bivol to win the rematch is because he wants him to win because he lacks the confidence to beat the big-punching Beterbiev. The ‘Mexican Monster’ Benavidez’s fighting style involves putting every ounce of power into every punch he throws to land maximum power.

David didn’t have a big punch, so he loaded everything he threw at him to improve his strength. That style doesn’t work against Beterbiev because he throws short punches with a lot of power and doesn’t need to pump to generate power like Benavidez.

If Benavidez fights Arthur, it will be a sad night. He couldn’t load the shot because he was being tagged. What’s more, David’s rapid-fire combination of punches leaves Trebiev open to punches and takedowns.

Although Benavidez takes good shots due to his thick skull that looks a bit like acromegaly, his ability to shoot to the body is not good. It can hurt there. In the 12th round, Oleksandr Gvozdyk landed a hard right hand to Benavidez’s midsection, shutting him down completely for the rest of the round.

He did not throw a punch after being hurt in the body by Gvozdyk in the last round. Beterbiev is a better body puncher than Gvozdyk, and he sees that weakness and focuses on that area instead of wasting punches on Benavidez’s thick skull.

Rematch prediction

“I thought Bivol won that battle. It was a close fight. It couldn’t go either way,” David Benavidez said. Mediatalking about the fight between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol last year in Riyadh on October 12.

“I feel Bivol won most of the rounds. He controlled most of the rounds, and his combination punching was better,” Benavidez continued. I think he (Bivol) will (he won the rematch on February 22).

“Both fighters are top fighters. So you can make adjustments. I don’t know if it’s the same fight or not, but if it’s the same fight, I feel Bivol will win.”
