Aphrodite Deng, 15, becomes the first Canadian winner in the American girl Junior History


Johns Creek, him. – Afrodita Deng became the first Canadian winner in the American girl Junior History, beating Xingtong Chen from Singapore, 2 and 1, Saturday in Atlanta Atletic Club.

15-year-old Deng, from Calgary, Alberta, won her third junior main title of the year, after the younger call in the Sage Valley in April, and Mizuho Americas opened in May. She earned stains in the American women’s open year in Riviera and American women’s amateurs this year.

“It really means a lot. I just can’t believe I won,” Deng said. “I didn’t think about the end result because I knew there were many good players here. I just tried to win every match.”
