The associated press grabbed the bucket and the mope.
Sunday AP reported Goverlon Pennsylvania said Josh Shapiro There will be no money for renovation or construction of the stadium. Since then, AP revised the story to drop that claim.
It is unclear why and how it happened. Is it misinterpreted? Fictional? Or was it actually said, but the AP persuaded to remove it through one of the more common mechanisms through which political sausage is set?
No matter what, it was removed. And the new item does not give a comment on the fact that the original version made a very clear and unequivocal request that Shapiro said that there would be no state money for the stadium projects.
New version instead It opens with this: “Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro refused to enter the specifics of the state’s potential to secure funds for all new sports arenas.”
It feels, honestly, like a negotiating compromise.
So, we don’t know what to believe at the moment, except the original article changed, without explanation. And that something about everything seems a little fishy.
