AJ Brown: The numbers are down, but now the win is important

Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown hasn’t been shy about expressing negative feelings about the team’s offense and his role in it during his time with the Eagles, but there aren’t any complaints from him right now.

That might come as a surprise to some given how little Brown has had to do in the passing game over the past two weeks. Brown has three catches for 24 yards in the team’s first two playoff outings, but he made it clear Wednesday that his personal results are less important than what’s on the scoreboard.

“I can’t worry about what happened in the last game or even these two games,” Brown said in a press conference. “I can just watch the film and learn from it. That’s how the game went. I’m fine, we won. I had some amazing spring touchdown blocks, so regardless if the numbers aren’t there — I know people care about that — but right now, none of that matters. It’s all about getting that win at the end of the day, so it doesn’t matter.”

Whether it’s his sideline read material or past playoff experience that gives him perspective, Brown’s attitude is a positive for the Eagles as they try to reach their second Super Bowl in three seasons.
