AJ Brown is not a fan of snow games.
The Eagles receiver had just two catches for 14 yards on seven targets and said the worsening snow conditions during the second half “effected everything.”
“See? I wouldn’t want that on my worst enemy” Brown said after the game. “That was not fun. That was no fun at all. Difficult match, difficult conditions, but we made the most of it. We tried to get the win, I’m glad we did.”
Brown acknowledged that the Rams were able to get things going in the passing game – Matthew Stafford finished 26-of-44 for 324 yards with two TDs. But as the home team, Philadelphia was able to rely on the running game to finish things off. While Jalen Hurts was 15-of-20 for 128 yards through the air, Saquon Barkley rushed for 205 yards with two TDs. Hurts also had 70 yards on the ground with a touchdown.
“We did whatever it took to get the win, regardless of the game (not looking) the way we wanted to,” Brown said. “But never mind, man. It doesn’t matter at all. Most importantly, we won and advanced.
“You’ve got to get through this,” Brown added on the passing game. “You’ve got to get through this game, you know? It was difficult. The conditions were tough, you know? I get this question all the time. But you can’t do anything about it. The conditions were crazy. We couldn’t even see there – so imagine throwing the ball and catching the ball, although they did it at the end. But the game is on the line, they had no choice? I don’t think it would be their first choice. I think they probably would have tried to run the ball if they could have.”
