Cardinals Linebacker JJ Russell was released from the hospital and re-joined the team in the training camp, the team announced Thursday evening.
All tests were negative.
Russell was drawn from the field after a rookie Kitan Crawford in the 7-to 7-to-7 exercise. He was transported to the hospital to assess the injury of the head and neck.
Russell signed a year, $ 1.1 million contract with cardinals in May after three seasons in Tampa.
He set up a career last season with 16 games played, three start, 25 accessories and two passes.
