WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora will fight interim Errol Spence on March 29 in Las Vegas. The fight is still under negotiation.
Former unified welterweight champion Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) will be inactive for 20 months when he fights ‘The Towering Inferno’ Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs). Errol turned 35 on March 3rd. The fight is expected to be shown on PBC on Prime Video PPV. No word yet on pay-per-view pricing, but it will likely be closer to the $80 range.

In the year July 29, 2023 Spence is coming off a ninth round knockout loss to Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford. Errol took a lot of punishment in that fight and was never competitive. Physically, he doesn’t look like the fighter he was in his career in 2018 and earlier. Some in 2010 In 2019, Spence believes that a combination of injuries from his car accident, stunting, inactivity, weight gain and age have taken a lot out of him.
Fundora, 6’5″, himself coming off a long layoff, finally fought on April 30, 2024, defeating WBO 154-lb champion Tim Tsiu via a 12-round split decision. That was a tough fight for both of them, with a headbutt earlier in the fight leaving Tyuu bloodied.
