British Open 2025: Sergio Garcia drew drivers in half on another hole open final wheel

It didn’t take long for Sergio Garcia to lose his temper – and his driver.

After a bad drive on Sunday in Royal Portrush in a couple-5 second hole, Garcia took the driver and slammed the club in the lawn. The shaft immediately broke in half.

Despite frustration, foursome is in the hole, and plays the rest of the round with 13 clubs, Garcia took 3-below 71 to finish its open championship in 3 below.

Garcia started her Liv Golf season with victory and two more 10s in the first five beginning. But he has only one top-10 – and two top-25s – from then five events. He also made two of his three main cuts, although he probably won’t crack the first 30 in one of them.

As a result, Garcia implied a little to step up his prospects for Rider Cup in recent events.

“Last week I had a good conversation with (European Captain Luke Donald), and we both know what we want,” Garcia said earlier this week. “The only thing I can do is hardly keep working, continue to draw trust himself, and if I could do that, then it should be fine. We’ll see.”
