Scottie Scheffler Fires 64, leads to outdoor weekend

Portrush, Northern Ireland – Rain instructed the royal portrush right when Scottie Scheffler poured into a bird on Friday outdoors. No matter. Nothing stopped the world player no. 1 On the way to 7-Malca 64 to build a lead lead that goes on the weekend.

Scheffler made eight birds on the second wild afternoon weather in the royal portress, and his 15 feet bird attempt at 18. He stopped inches short for another.

The result was a record of the former American open champion Matt Fitzpatrick, who made four straight birds to start his back nine until she had cooled on home growth and must agree for 66.

The rain was sometimes heavy, but never lasted a long time. The wind was breezy, but never in force that can cause a fit. The scoring was lower, almost two photos easier than the introductory wheel.

Except for a few fumes, Scheffler looked like it wasn’t enough.

He was in 10-below 132 while chasing the third leg of the Grand Straw, winning PGA Championship for five shots in May.

Brian Harman got the best time – a surprising sun – and took the dead goal in his hunt for another jar. Harman played Bogey for 64 who left him only two shots, along with China Li Haotong, who was 67.

All others were five shots behind or more.

This includes Rory McIlroy, who visited the royal portrise in his native northern Ireland with lots of cheering but only a few Urda. McIlroy was 69, but he lost a lot of soil because of Scheffler, Fitzpatrick and Harman.

Started the second round only three shots behind him. It moves to the weekend seven shots behind the world’s top ranked player.

Fitzpatrick was at the lowest point just four months before changing his Caddy and Coach and began to pull. And now he takes him in the weekend against Scheffler.

“He will have expectation to go out and dominate. He is an exceptional player. He is the world no. 1, and we see tiger things,” Fitzpatrick said. “I think the pressure is to win a golf tournament. I obviously hope to have more home support from him, but I’m an exciting position to be in a given where I was earlier this year.”

Fitzpatrick rolled up to a couple of short trips that did not miss, with 5 feet for a couple. 14. and with 3 meters for bird 17. place. Even so, he opened the 25th, which he put in the last hole and convinced him to be in the last group in 9-below 133 years.

Scheffler was sharp from the beginning. He struck eight on the twelfth – compared to three in the opening – although he missed never left too bad out of position. But he sees breaks on a smoother greenery portray, and he looks confident as always.

None of his eight birds were closer than 7 feet. Five of them were in the range of 10 feet, then threw a 35-foot bird on the sixth. His lonely Bogey came on a ride in deep grass 11. who kept him to reach him green.

Statistics have led to shoulders.

“All in all, I hit the ball solid,” Scheffler said. “The tournament is only halfway. I went down to a good beginning.”

Harman called the “Hoylake Butcher” when he won the Claret jug in Royal Liverpool two years ago, because the British press was fascinated by the love of Hunting Georgia. It’s about his golf now and it was superior.

Harman played without Bogey, just once that he must emphasize that for the holiday portrush is allowed for some good points in time to never live until her expectation.

Harman won 2023 open and re-consisting of the Royal Portrush, but his introduction to the Golf Links is at best.

It’s not that someone complained. Temperatures were warm, at least Irish standards. The breeze was noticeable without excessive punishment.

“They are very different golf courses, but golf is similar,” Harman said. “You have to be able to fly a golf ball. You need to know how far it goes. Then you can’t be frustrated. You’ll finish in funny points where it doesn’t seem fair, and you just can’t look fair.”

Group on 5-pilue 137. included Harris English (70), Harman’s former teammate in Georgia; Tyrrell Hatton from England (69) and Chris Gotterup (65), who did not even plan to be in the Royal Portroški to win the Scottish open passage week.

Also It’s still around Bryson Dechambeauwhich made the improvement of 13 footage from the first round with 65. Still, 11 shots came out.

McIlroy was not in everything in the opening and was pleased to only three behind. Now he has the right mountain for climbing. But at least he still plays, unlike 2019. in the royal portress, then shot in 79, and then had a great rally only to miss cutting one shooting.

“I didn’t have this opportunity six years ago, so I play an extra two days in this atmosphere in front of this crowd, I’m very excited about that,” McIlroy said. “I feel like my game is definitely good enough to run.”

It was before Scheffler began to escape from so much, except for a small collection of challengers. But this is the connection of golf. And this is an emerald island, where the weather seems to have his mind.

Still, Scheffler went 10 tournaments without completion from the top 10 and seemed to be a challenge every intimidating as a royal portrush.
