Mark Hensby Shuts a 3-Malk 67 with only three pieces Thursday American older open

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Mark Hensby was seven birds in the first nine holes on Thursday of the American Otlet, and even after the Green on Broadmoor and the main primary conditions, he left the Early Lead Course for the first round.

Aussie ended the day at 3-Mand 67, good for one-time lead across Bob Estes, Thomas Bjorn and three more with the morning circles that have accelerated the afternoon wave that is striking the course.

Miguel Angel Jimenez was part of a group of six shot 69.

Hensby spent the whole morning in the lead, though after signing his grade, it was hard to look like a player who won the USA.

“I obviously felt like I lost some out there,” he said. “It’s just frustrating. I played like (an expert) back nine. What else can you say?”

Hensby ended with pairs of muggers, each comes after the drive that missed the fleabar and landed in rough which is fat – but not the oak problem, not the biggest problem on this course basically Cheyenne Mountain.

“There’s so many slopes, and everything goes out of the mountain – most of the time,” Hensby said. “Sometimes it doesn’t. But the green were softer today, so it’s kind of easier, and probably not as fast as I can get.”

The large storm on Tuesday threw water all over the course, but dries are expected for the weekend. When the tournament is last played here in 2018. year, David Toms won the 3-under paragraph.

Hensby reached 6 below after the bird on the RAN-5 ninth – traditionally one of the lighter holes. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s the first and last player who reached that number.

“The biggest thing is green,” Shane Bertsch said, gender from the nearby Denver, which was part of the group in 1 below. “Green are very, very strong. You can’t ram either on any ways. You’re always kind of guessing a little because of all mountain breaks and everything.”
