Russell Wilson did not have many options in the free agency.
According to the 10-time PRO Bowler, however, it was the presence of a wide receiver Malik Nabres who requested Wilson to sign with giants.

In its 10 seasons in Seattle, Wilson played with three 1000 yard in Tyler Lockett (2019, ’20, ’21), Doug Baldwin (2015, ’16) and DK Metcalf (2020). Metcalf caught 83 passes for 1,303 meters in Wilson next last season in Seattle, the most appropriate yards for the receiver with Wilson as his neighborhood.

Wilson is a favorite for the start of the season, but it will not be a surprise if at some point, Rookie Jaxson Dart takes over.
Wilson will have to beat Jameis Winston and Dart in the training camp, and then, if he does, he will have pressure to win to keep the job. Giants begins the season in Washington and in Dallas before hosting bosses and chargers.
