Petra Kevitova has declared that he will retire in September


London-two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kevitova is planning to retire within months, the check player said.

The announcement came on social media a day after Kevitova gave a wild card for Wimbledon.

“I am excited and the championships are very expected to soak in the beauty of the game, Wimbledon once more, a place that holds the most cherished memory of my career,” said Kevitova.

“And though I am not fully sure what my hardcourt swing in the United States, I want to finish my active game career at the US Open in New York late this summer.”

The 6 -year -old Kevitova reached the second rankings of the career in the second and helped the Czech Republic of six trophies in the Fed Cup, now known as the Billy Jean Cup.

Kevitova last played in Wimbledon in 2021 and became the first mother for the first time when her son was born during the tournament last year’s All England Club.

The Kevitova returned to the WTA tour in Austin, Texas in February 17 months away from the court, and is currently in the 572th place.

Wimbledon will start on June 30.
