Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has more rushing touchdowns in the postseason than any quarterback in NFL history.
Hurts set that record Sunday when he scored three touchdowns in the Eagles’ NFC Championship Game victory over the Commanders. Hurts now has nine postseason rushing touchdowns in his career.
The previous record of eight career playoff sacks was held by 49ers Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young.
Behind Young are three quarterbacks with seven career playoff touchdowns each: Tom Brady, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes scored two rushing touchdowns Sunday in the AFC Championship Game, and if he scores two more in the Super Bowl, he would tie Hurts’ record of nine.
Hurts is only 26 years old and has shown an ability to get to the end zone like no other running back has ever done. In addition to owning the postseason record, Hurts has 55 regular-season rushing touchdowns, which ranks him third in NFL history, 20 behind all-time record holder Cam Newton. With his ability to make big plays and score with a push, Hurts will likely haul in more rushing touchdowns than any NFL running back ever.
