German Qualifier Tatjana Maria won the final of the Queens Club at the age of 37


German qualifying Tatzana Maria declared herself “queen of quin” after winning the Wimbledon Warm-Up tournament at the London-Robbie Queens Club.

In the Grass-Court final of London, the eighth-grade Amanda Anisimova has demanded his first WA 500 title against Anisimova-3, -4-5.

86th 86th ranked Maria won in front of her daughter Charlotte and Sicilia and her husband and coach Charles-Edward Maria.

“It means a lot to me,” Maria said. “I’m a good example that even in my age you can still win the big trophy. I’m proud of myself.”

On the way to his fourth WAA, she removed four top 20 players, including Karolina Muclava, Elena Ribakina and Madison Key, became the oldest solo champion on the W.A from the 2020, while Serena Williams won Auckland Classic at the age of 38.

Maria had won the WA head on grass in Malorca earlier in 2018 and won twice in Claya in Bogota in 2022 and 2023.

Former Wimbledon Semifinalist Maria will descend at the World Rankings on Monday.
