Coco Ghaf won the French Open for the first time by defeating Aryana Sabalenka -7 (1), -2-2, -4-5 in the Paris -Sourber final.
The second ranked Gaff came to the top of a competition that was full of tension and speed rock to claim its second big trophy after the US Open, where he also came from a set to defeat Sabalenka in the final.
It was the No. 2nd final in Paris since the 21st, when Serena Williams defeated Maria Sharapova and was second in the last 5 years.
After sending a backhand wide to Sabalenka Ghof’s second match point, the 21 -year -old American fell on his back, with his forehand resting on the ground with both hands before his face was covered. After greeting Sabalenka on the net, he hugged film director Spike Lee and celebrated with his employees three years later after losing the first final in Rolend-Garros.
Sabalenka started the decision-making set strongly with his high-risk method to retain his first service game.
Gauf reacted to his level, won a great rally in the third game that attracted loud cheers and praise from the crowd. After the intense exchange of the drop shots, Gulf hit a lob that Sabalenka chased before trying to shot his leg – just to interrupt it on behalf of Gauf and to finish with the winner.
Gauf was consistent with baseline and earned a break point that Sabalenka converted him to double-flag, led him 2-0. Sabalenka returned to her box and shouted, but her composer returned and brought the match back 3-1.
However, he broke in love again, and Gouf then served twice to claim the title after 2 hours, 5 minutes.
