Jason Sanders was named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month

The Dolphins had an unfortunate end to the 2024 season as a team, but kicker Jason Sanders can enjoy individual recognition for a job well done.

Sanders was named the final AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for the regular season. It was the second month in a row that Sanders took home the award and is now a five-time winner of the award in his career.

Sanders was 15-of-15 on field goals in the team’s final five games of the season, and was 5-of-5 from 50 yards. He made five field goals in the win over the 49ers and four in the win over the Jets.

He missed two of the eight extra points he attempted, so it wasn’t perfect for Sanders. Still, it was still a worthy accolade, and Sanders got it Thursday.
