Kiara Romero had nothing to lose.
After the fourfold bogee 8 on the bold couple-4 15. Hole on Saturday at Erin Hills, Romero signed 12-larger 84 to pan to past place among players who made an American woman open cut.
But on the rise of Oregon Junior, he replied on Sunday, shooting 5-Man 67, the lowest final of the amateur in the champions history.
“I think I’m just knowing that I literally unleashed that I knew I knew I had absolutely nothing to lose and just play my game,” Romero said. “Knowing that I played some good golf. I made a cut to get here. I knew I had it in myself, and I just tried to stay the patient and put that circle behind.”
Romer’s record day, which was 17 moves better than the previous circle, covered six birds and only one Bogee. Once she broke through the first three holes, which played in equality with birds on no. 2 and Bogey on no. 3, Romero said that “began to be rolled” in the first two.
“We played like a pretty fast tempo, so everything was equal to go to each other,” Romero said. “Yeah, I think it was much easier. It was just that everything came to me. I only found out my things. I was as if I had never played golf before, yes.
19-year-old Romero, who had the boss’s coach of Derek Radley on her bag, missed the incision in his uswo Debut last year, started with a victory on the American girl Junior previous summer.
She went from T-8 at the NCAA championship, which followed the victory on the Great Ten Championships and the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional. Ducks fell in the semifinals of the game for reproduction at the eventual NCAA champion of the northwest.
