Stefanos Citsipus, the final candidate of the Paris-two-time Grand Slam, came out in the second round of the French Open, losing 6-4, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 to Roleland-Garros from 2018 to disappear Mattio Jigant to exit him.
The Big-Serving Greek reached the French Open final in 2021, after winning the first two sets in five sets near Novak Djokovic. He advanced to the quarter-finals here last year and a year ago and made the semifinals in Rolend-Garros in 2021, where he lost to Djokovic.
“I have expected a bigger thing from me these two weeks,” said Sitsipus, who lost in the second round in 20 2018.
The 26 -year -old had tied himself to the Greek gift to give some points to the gift. Simon-Genu found 49 unforgettable flaws on the 20th-born Citsipus court.
“I was not fully present at the moment,” he said. “So I will describe (as) immature, don’t know how to manage these situations.”
Citsipus was in trouble by the 167-ranked jigant drop shot and athleticism.
Gigant sealed the victory with a tick and found a friendly embrace on the Netsipus net of the Italian Citsipus.
“I have to give my opponent credit, he played incredible tennis,” said Sitcipus. “He handled the moments of stress very well.”
Gigant had never won a title on ATP tour and he had never been out of the first round in a big tournament before.
“Of course my big (guest) wins,” he said.
This was the second straightforward Major for the first time against a crude player for Tistipus after the first round defeat to Alex Micheleson at the Australian Open earlier this year.
“I only need to use my experience with a little more wisely,” said Sitcipus.
28 -year -old Jigant faces Ben Shelton, a 5th -born American in the third round.
