NASCAR Saturday schedule at Charlotte Motor Speedway


The XFinity and Cup series will get on the track on Saturday afternoon on Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Cup cars will start practicing at 1:35 p.m. at 1.5 miles oval, followed by qualifying for the longest race on the schedule. Christopher Bell is the defensive winner of the Coca-Cola 600, which was shortened to 374 miles last year due to rain.

The main meeting Saturday is a 300-mile race for the XFinity series that starts training at 4:30 pm at 11 o’clock with the qualifying at 12:05 p.m. Chase Elliott last year’s race in the No. 17 Chevrolet won for Hendrick Motorsports. Teammate William Byron drives the number 17 for Hendrick in Saturday’s race.
