Joey Logano takes back critical remarks about how Christopher Bell chased him in the All-Star Race

Mooresville, NC-a day after finishing second in the All-Star race and was critical of how Christopher Bell chased him for victory, Joey Logano told NBC Sports how Bell drove him “wasn’t as bad as I thought.”

Bell and Logano tweeted a large part of the last 20 rounds at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Sunday night. Logano blocked Bell and tried to take away his lane while Bell worked to get past. Bell made a second attempt and eventually moved Logano on the track and took the lead with ten laps to go. Bell won his first All-Star race.

After the race, Logano expressed his displeasure with Bell’s move.

“I did everything I could do to keep him off, and he came under me and released the brake and gave me no option,” Logano told FS1. “Such a kind of me just ran me against the wall, and if I could reach him, he went around after such a move, I just wouldn’t be able to return to him.”

Christopher Bell has won five points races and the All-Star race since last year’s Coca-Cola 600.

On Monday, before a ceremony by the Mayor of Mooresville and the city council, who honored the teams of Logano and Ryan Blaney for winning the last three cup titles, admitted that he had a different lead on how Bell rushed him in that last round.

“When I went back and watched it again, I was, it wasn’t as bad as I thought,” Logano told NBC Sports. “If he did (Logano moved on the track) the first time he came to me, I would like ‘dude, why would you do that? ‘

“But he made good efforts to make me succeed. I all ran him up and down the racetrack. I opened the door. Like at that point, I opened the door (for more aggressive racing). I had to do this to try to keep the lead.

“But it was for me too, it was like, ok, if you are willing to do it, you could move the person on the racetrack. Then I had to be able to come back to him.

“I set the tone that we’re going to chase like a hole. It’s good that he did it to me. But right now, you’re just pissing, right? You’re just like, ‘He ran me on the track. “When I looked at it, I was like” No, it’s probably justified. “

“I shouldn’t have said that (after the race). You are crazy. That’s what it is. He pitched me up and then moved me up. Would I have done the same? Probably. Especially after someone ran me all over the racetrack, I probably would have done the same.

“I’m a very bad loser. I’m a sore loser. I can’t help it. That’s who I am, but I think that’s what our winners make. ‘
