MANILA, Philippines – In 2025, we look back on the most pressing environmental issues, and the people and communities at the heart of these stories. 

So far, we have brought attention to migrant fisherfolk and seafarers who had to toil despite exploitative conditions, as well as an abandoned solar project in Cebu. We also looked into inspiring stories of Filipino artists and conservationists who seek to protect and bring awareness to the natural world in the face of urban development.
