Coco Gauf and Carlos Alkaraj Straight-Set-Win with Italian Open Semifinal

Rome-Carlos Alcaz won straight to the Italian Open semifinals despite the strong challenges from Jack dropper and won the Coco Ghaf Mirra against Andreva and proceeded to the last four in the Clay-Court Tournament.

Alkaraj was designed to work hard in his service and defeated him earlier this year and preserved six of the eight brake points confronted against the dropper -4-4 -4 -win.

The third ranked Alkaraj, who had moved away from the Madrid tournament due to the problem that bored him during the Open Final, was well -known in court, frequently fell into the net and used his trademark drop shots and groundstrokes for the best impact.

The four -time Grand Slam champion, who had left leg injuries, lost their recent meeting in the semifinals in California’s Indian Wales in March.

Alkaraj claimed the first set from 2-1. Then a turning point came in the eighth game of the second set, when DRAPED looked like he could force a decision to make a decision. That game lasted about 10 minutes and saved two brake points before Alkaraj arrived at the top. Alkaraj broke the next game and sealed the match.

“I wasn’t thinking about the shots the most important thing today,” said Alakaraj. “I am not thinking about what I was down, just trying to do things that make me happy. In court I just tried to be aggressive, played good shots, tried to drop the shots. This is what I like to do in court and I think this is the difference today.”

Alakaraj’s next opponent is either defending champions Alexander Javerev or Lorenzo Musti.

Controlling

In the Women’s Draw, Ghaf played aggressively to move forward in the last four for the third time with a 6-6, -6-6 (5) win.

Both players hit high-quality shots in the tiebreaker, which included the last two points to seal the gawf match with a great drop shot from a tight angle to the last two points before winning the last two points.

Gauf won his four matches against 18 -year -old Andreva, defeated French Open in 2023 and in the US Open and two weeks ago to Madrid.

Then Gauf will play the winner between Aryana Sabalenka and Zheng Kinwin. Jasmine Paulini and Peton Sterns face to face in the other semifinal.

Rome is the latest big wormup before the French Open begins on May 25.
