“I came here 22 years ago to study at university. It felt like home, and now it is.”

“The only place I would consider moving to in the United States is my hometown. Sometimes I look at real estate listings and get tempted. But then, I think about how I can move to one of the best school districts in one of the school districts.” Best state systems, that would be a downgrade for my son, and it doesn’t seem like an option anymore.

The other thing is that I know my sister had trouble finding a primary care provider there as well, and I have some concerns about the quality of care leading up to my father’s death earlier this year.

So, yes, as concerned as I am about the United States and the future of our health care systems here in Canada, I think that even the bright sides of the American system may seem less bright.
