Nascar Cup results, points report: Kyle Larson wins in Kansas, taking points

Kyle Larson had anything but a perfect weekend with winning Sunday’s Cup race on Kansas Speedway.

He started from the pole, won both phases, earned the bonus point for the fastest round of the race and led more than 80% of the race to reach his third cup victory of the year and take the points of Hendrick Motorsports teammate William.

Christopher Bell was second, followed by Ryan Blaney, Chase Briscoe and Alex Bowman.

Byron let a tire go and hit the wall in the first phase. He had to sit under Green and lose a shot. He finished 24th. Byron entered the race with a 13-point lead on Larson on top of the season.

Larson scored 61 points on Byron’s 13 to place the 24th place. Larson now leads Byron with 35 points.
