Trump has threatened Russia with sanctions and tariffs unless Putin ends the war in Ukraine

The President Donald Trump on Wednesday, he threatened to impose “high levels” of sanctions on Russia and tariffs on imports from it if the country did not reach an agreement to end the war with Ukraine.

Trump’s warning, made in a social media post on his third day as president, called out Russian President Vladimir Putin by name.

“If we don’t make a ‘deal,’ and soon, I have no choice but to slap high Tariffs, Tariffs and Sanctions on anything Russia sells to the United States and many other participating countries.” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Let’s end this war that would never have started if I were president! We can do it the easy way or the hard way, and the easy way is always better,” Trump wrote.

“It’s time to ‘GET A TEETH’. NO MORE LIVES MUST BE LOST!!!”
