Kellen Moore: Same game plan formula as Jalen Hurts, we’ll adjust it if necessary

The Eagles will not head into the week of practice with plans to change their offensive style due to quarterback Jalen Hurts’ left knee.

Hurts checked out his knee during the Divisional Round win over the Rams, but did not miss an offensive snap before returning to the game. There haven’t been many updates on his condition and offensive coordinator Kellen Moore said the team won’t make many changes to its plans unless Hurts’ condition forces them to.

“Same game plan formula,” Moore said via text from the team. “Like any player on our team, if you have to make adjustments as the weeks progress or the games progress, you do that. But it’s a very similar plan.

Moore expanded on the reasons why the team might need to adjust its course of action.

“Those things are always going to depend on the doctor and the player,” Moore said. “These guys go through that process, and it gets relayed from them to the coaching staff. A lot of conversations as the week progresses. Hey, it’s mid to late January. There’s a lot of guys that are getting beat up. It’s not just about Jalen. There’s a lot of guys that are going through things “That’s how it is these weeks.”

Wednesday will mark the Eagles’ first practice of the week and the injury report will show if the knee affects Hurts’ participation.
