Munguia Vs. Surase’s rematch is set for April 12.

Jaime Munguia will reportedly fight former champion Bruno Suarez in a rematch on April 12 in Tijuana, Mexico.

Former WBO junior middleweight champion Munguia (44-2, 35 KOs) will be hoping to avenge his humiliating sixth round knockout loss to Suarez (26-0-2, 5 KOs) last month in front of his hometown fans on December 14th. Tijuana

Cobra Strike

The 28-year-old Munguia was knocked careless in round six with a right hand from a cobra-like Surance. The shot sent Munguia face down to the canvas.

Jaime went to his feet after getting up and referee Juan Jose Ramirez stopped him rather than allow him to be beaten a second time by the Frenchman.

It’s questionable whether Mungia’s rematch with Suarez is a good idea as this guy might have his number. Earlier in the fight, Jaime knocked him down with a left hook to the head.

However, Sures surprised Mungiya a moment later with a snake-like right hand to the head. Munguia took it well, but the shot was the same on the right hand, which dropped him later in the sixth round.
