Kyle Larson achieves emotional victory for the late Jon Edwards on Bristol Motor Speedway

Kyle Larson dominated in an emotional victory on Bristol Motor Speedway, with 411 off 500 laps for his second Nascar Cup this season.

The victory comes three days after the death of Jon Edwards, the Hendrick Motorsports Director of Communications, who was the Larson’s PR representative when he started driving the number 5 Chevrolet in 2021 on his way to the cup championship.

“This one is definitely for Jon,” Larson told the Jamie of FS1 that he was tapping his car with a smile on a poster to Edwards. “He’s just a wonderful guy here. We will miss him. I wish He would be here with us to celebrate, but I know that He is celebrating with us in the Spirit.

‘Just a flawless race at Bristol for the 5 team. Really good car. It was a lot of fun. ‘

Denny Hamlin finished second in his attempt to join Joe Gibbs’s teammate Christopher Bell as the second driver with a winning line of three races this season.

Ty Gibbs finished third, followed by Chase Briscoe and Ryan Blaney, whose bid to win his first race this year by returning a prolonged race for the last 235 rounds remained cautiousness.

The witer of Alex Bowman led the first 39 rounds before being passed by Larson, which was the first 350 rounds while winning both phases (for a series of leading seven career victories on Bristol).
