The volatility that prompted DraftKings to stop betting has finished. Bets are being taken again on the next coach of the Dallas Cowboys.
The current favorite, at -150, is Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. He had a virtual interview for the position on Friday.
Next on the list is Colorado coach Deion Sanders at +200. He was the favorite earlier this week.
Current Cowboys offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is third on the list, at +250.
The full options list has 60 names, including Bill Belichick at 12-1.
Eagles fans may not be thrilled that Moore took time away from playoff preparations for an interview. While some might downplay it, the exercise is definitely distracting – and not just during interviews. Moore had to prepare for the session, which included coming up with names for the proposed coaching staff.
Every minute spent preparing and conducting interviews is one less minute he had to prepare the Eagles’ offense for the Rams. That’s not a slight against Moore; it’s a basic fact for any assistant coach who interviews before his team’s postseason run ends.
Moore, a former Boise State quarterback who spent three seasons as a player with the Lions and three with the Cowboys, spent five years as a coach in Dallas. He was the offensive coordinator for the four of them.
He held the same role with the Chargers in 2023, before landing with the Eagles in 2024.
