Kyle Larson’s bid to wipe all three Nascar races on Homestead-Miami Speedway over the weekend ended at an overtime re-starting in a XFinity series he dominated.
Larson’s accident was the Fortune of Justin Allgaier, as Allgaier overcame a fine of the Pit Road to win the victory and claim the $ 100,000 Dash 4 cash prize for a sixth time on the series. The win also won the back-to-back XFinity series for the second time in his career for Allgaier.
Larson had a 16 -second lead with seven laps left as Taylor Gray turned on the front point to send the race to overtime.
After Pit Stop, Larson, who won Friday night’s truck race, remained the leader. Sam Mayer was second. When it was time to choose lanes, Larson chose the inside of the track and Mayer followed him instead of starting again on the front track on the front row.
Mayer said he got poorly restarted on the off -road and did not feel that he would have a chance to win from that track.

When the field came to take the green flag, Mayer ran the back of Larson, which disrupted Larson’s restart and Larson took a chance to win.
“He just fell back and tried to give it time, I’m sure to try it three wide to my inside by the time I get to the line,” Mayer Larson said. ‘(He) fell back and just knocked the (exploding) out of me and had my rear tires off the ground. Then I’m just going to turn the entire preliminary just as he’s still under me. ‘
Mayer explained what happened:
“I haven’t made a restart in a long time, which is why I was so knocked out, because for one I ruined his race, because he obviously went for the whip and I took it away from just with a cunning mistake.”
Mayer finishes second on allgier. Austin Hill was third. Larson, who led 132 of the 201 rounds, was fourth. Sheldon Creed finished fifth.
