Only five lead moves, Ludwig åberg still found himself in the ropes in the eighth hole in Hill in Bay in the third round of Arnold Palmer’s invitation.
That eighth hole, however, changed things quite a little.
Åberg found water on that hole twice – first on the way with a plate bunker, then on the next swing from the decline space – and ended up with a carton 7 for Triple Bogee.
It was almost worse. Åberg made a nice downhill in triple “savings.”
Ludwig Åberg was in the distance in Arnold Palmera invitation, but two shots in the water on the road to Triple Bogey on the hole 8 sent his tournament score over a couple.
It was part of a rough stretch for the Swedish Hairdryer who deserved his second career PGA tour on the Genesis victory three weeks ago. Åberg was also 7, 9, 11 and 12, placing it on 7 or more in that sixth growing.
He sent his tournament score to 5- over, 12 lead shots.
