Raiders to interview John Spytek for GM opening

The Raiders’ list of general manager candidates began to take shape this week.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Buccaneers assistant GM John Spytek is ready for the interview with the team in the coming days. They also requested an interview with Packers CEO Jon-Eric Sullivan.

The Raiders fired Tom Telesko last week after one season with the team.

Spytek spent the last nine years in Tampa, so he was with the organization when Raiders minority owner Tom Brady was the team’s quarterback. That relationship could help his bid to land the Vegas job, but the Raiders aren’t the only team interested in Spytek.

The Titans interviewed him once and on Monday word was out that he will be invited to a second meeting with the club.
