How to Watch Sunday’s Cup Race at Cota Austin: Start time, TV information and again

The Nascar Cup series holds its fifth race at the Circuit of the Americas, but this is the first on a shorter layout on Sunday.

The 2.4 -mile configuration, 2.4 miles (known as the ‘national’ course) will be about a kilometer shorter, and the round should be about a minute faster. It also means an increase to 95 rounds, from 68 in the distance of last year on the longer layout used by the Formula One series.

As the third race of the 2025 season, this is the earliest date for Cota on the cup schedule since joined the track in 2021.

The cup winner at Cota began on the front row of the past two Cota races, including William Byron from the pole position last year.

Connor Zilisch, 18, is expected to debut his Cup series in Trackhouse Racing’s number 87 Chevrolet with crew head Darian Grubb.

The scheduled 2025 began with lead changes on the last round in Daytona and Atlanta, the first time a winner won with a last slack-pass in the first two races of a cup season.
